Fishing is such a pleasurable pastime. However, having the right equipment at your side plays a huge role in this equation. And having an appropriate tackle box in which you can keep everything organized can save you a lot of headaches.

To me, fishing is about relaxing and unwinding from day-to-day activities. And when you have an appropriate tackle box that is spacious and nicely designed, everything is eased.

Fishing Requires Prior Planning

Before you go on a fishing trip, you need to take the time to plan and organize everything you’ll need. And a tackle box can be significantly helpful in this direction. That’s because you can prepare everything you’ll need and store all your items in the compartments that are specifically designated for that purpose.

Since we’ve established that a tackle box is an indispensable item for every fishing trip, I’d like to present to you my favorite of the three pre filled tackle boxes we reviewed.

What You Should Know About the Ready 2 Fish Tackle Box

To start with, this is a basic, practical tackle box. That is to say, it comes with the essential tackles. If you’re looking for a model with an elaborate design, then you should pick a different tackle box or tackle bag.

I could say that this is one of the best tackle boxes for beginners. It is equipped with three tray boxes, which you can organize depending on your preferences and needs. To be clear, this kit contains everything you need to start fishing, at a fairly reasonable price. This is great, specifically if you don’t want to spend a small fortune on a tackle box.

So, what does it contain? Basically, there are various essential fishing items, just to name a few: swivels, floats, weights, swirl tail grubs and worms, hooks, jig heads and many others.

To be frank, advanced anglers might not be satisfied with this tackle box. And it makes sense, the better you become at this sport, the more equipment you’re likely to use. Therefore, the tackle box you pick should address those specific needs. So, I wouldn’t recommend this to you if you’re a proficient fisher.

On the other hand, if you aren’t really experienced, then this tackle box will definitely address your needs. There’s no way we could argue that.

What I Like about the Ready 2 Fish Tackle Box

The fact that this is tackle box is made of durable, waterproof material is a major pro. This way, you can be sure that all the contents of the box remain intact, whether you drop the box on the ground or it comes in contact with water. We all know that fishing is both a pleasurable and unpredictable activity – so, you should be prepared for whatever may come.

At the same time, the quality of this item is superior. The way in which the box is divided shows attention to detail. Most fishermen prefer tackle boxes of medium size so that they can store everything they need, as well as a bunch of extras, for the just in case scenarios.

I fit into that category as well. That is why I find the size of this tackle box to be perfect for the purpose. It isn’t too small or too big – it is just right.

What I Don’t Like about the Ready 2 Fish Tackle Box

Since there’s no such thing as the perfect product, there are some potential drawbacks about this item that are worth mentioning. For example, the single handle can make it difficult for you to carry it – especially when you have other things that you must carry.

Also, having to fold and unfold the trays could be annoying. Plus, in freezing temperatures, the plastic becomes brittle, which makes it prone to break, in comparison with fabric, which doesn’t pose this problem.

The Bottom Line

All in all, this hard-sided tackle box is ideal for short fishing trips, allowing you to keep your fishing gear nicely organized and safeguarded from external elements. Nonetheless, if you have a significant amount of gear you intend to organize, and you normally go on extensive fishing trips, this isn’t the right tackle box for your needs.

This is far from being a fancy, complex tackle box; even so, it does the job, as it comes with all the essentials you’d require if you’re just starting out your fishing journey. You can use it for storing both large and small tackle easily.
